 XT YEAR'S CAMPS!\n\n\n\nThe Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California’s
  Coelho Epilepsy Youth Summer Camp gives its young participants an unforge
 ttable experience. For one week kids ages 9-17 get together to enjoy the g
 reat outdoors and the friendships that come with a trip to camp but also l
 eave behind some of the challenges that epilepsy can bring to their daily 
 lives. They  are surrounded--some for the first time--by dozens of other 
 kids who know exactly what having epilepsy means.\n\nCoelho Epilepsy Youth
  Summer Camp provides an enjoyable residential camping experience for chil
 dren with epilepsy\, develops self-esteem by promoting self-confidence\, b
 uilds lasting friendships\, and fosters independence in a fun and safe env
 ironment away from home. Parents are comforted knowing that medical profes
 sionals (UCSF pediatric epileptologist\, PA\, NP\, and nurses all stay 24/
 7 at the camp with the campers throughout the entire week\, all day and ov
 ernight). Medication schedules are strictly controlled by nurses who ensur
 e campers receive their proper medication each day.\n\nTransportation is n
 ot included. All parents are responsible for transportation to and from ca
 mp. Campers usually check in early afternoon on the first day and depart a
 round late morning on the last day.\n\nThrough generous donations\, the fo
 undation is able to offer full and partial scholarships to campers. We str
 ive to ensure that all interested campers are able to attend and have neve
 r turned down a child due to financial need. Thank you to all the donors w
