DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n&nbsp\;\nSEE YOU SOON!\nThe Epilepsy Foundation of Northe
 rn California’s Coelho Epilepsy Youth Summer Camp gives its young partic
 ipants an unforgettable experience. For one week kids ages 9-17 get togeth
 er to enjoy the great outdoors and the friendships that come with a trip t
 o camp – but also leave behind some of the challenges that epilepsy can 
 bring to their daily lives. Surrounded – some for the first time – by 
 dozens of other kids who know exactly what having epilepsy means\, they ne
 ed not worry about what people might think if they have a seizure because 
 they’ll be supported around the clock by physicians and nurses specializ
 ed in epilepsy care.\n\nCoelho Epilepsy Youth Summer Camp provides an enjo
 yable residential camping experience for children with epilepsy\, develops
  self-esteem by promoting self-confidence\, builds lasting friendships\, a
 nd fosters independence in a fun and safe environment away from home. Pare
 nts are comforted knowing that medical professionals (UCSF pediatric epile
 ptologist\, PA\, NP\, and nurses all stay 24/7 at the camp with the camper
 s throughout the entire week\, all day and overnight). Medication schedule
 s are strictly controlled by nurses who ensure campers receive their prope
 r medication each day.\n\nTransportation is not included. All parents are 
 responsible for transportation to and from camp. Campers usually check in 
 early afternoon on the first day and depart around late morning on the las
 t day.\n\nThrough generous donations\, the foundation is able to offer ful
 l and partial scholarships to campers. We strive to ensure that all intere
 sted campers are able to attend and have never turned down a child due to 
 financial need. Thank you to all the donors who have made camp possible fo
