After I got my job with Office Depot and was benefited with a job coach, I feel like it brought more hope to my life, especially that I was able to hold a job for long and not let my learning disability get in the way. And writing my book has helped purge through my past to help others going through the same thing.

So the title of my book is Weird Girl with a Tumor. The reason I picked that title is because weird things were happening when I had my brain tumor, but also that’s the name they always called me in school, because they, I was quiet, shy, and had no social skills. I have a good memory with dates and so that’s how I outlined my whole book, into its chapters. From the start of when I was little growing up till high school, each chapter of my books are named from a song, so any experience that I went through, I would pick a song that reminds me of it, and that’s the name.

So of all those jobs I’ve had failures with, I picked Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne.

So when I became a client for the Regional Center of the East Bay, they were informed of my struggles with holding jobs, so they were doing their best to seek employment for me with a job coach because that would be the only way that I’d be in a secured employment place. Once I did find the job coach, that’s what really helped me succeed in employment. It really helped to have that job coach right there for support.

I wrote my book to overcome my past of my failures and trauma, but I also wrote it to help others going through the same thing, to make them not feel like they’re alone in this. That no matter what you go through in life, you still have big dreams you can go after and accomplish. Just know that it’s okay to be different, and no matter your struggles and what you go through in life, always think big and look toward the bright future.
