Connect & Support

We are grateful for all those who have supported our foundation through their life stories. We stand by those who have unfortunately lost loved ones to the devastating effects of epilepsy and we continue to strive to honor their memory in serving all those in our community. If you would like to start a fundraising campaign to support our foundation and the epilepsy community, please contact us.

While serving in the US Navy, Mike and his 3 comrades set out to hike the Vía de la Plata, one of the longest and most difficult Camino de Santiago routes in Spain. However, they never completed it due to being deployed to the Iranian Crisis of 1979, where all of Mike’s 3 comrades perished in an ambush. Today, Mike is completing the 1,000 km hike on the behalf of his late comrades, and to support EFNC in honor his wife, who has epilepsy.

We lost a beautiful soul to epilepsy, in September 2023, our beloved Lacey Perry. Lacey fought seizures for many years. She was clear that she did not want a funeral or flowers, but she would appreciate donations towards programs supporting children living with epilepsy, such as Camp Coelho.

The Souza Family has been an amazing supporter and friend of the foundation for many years in support of their daughter, who is also a regular camp attendee. Support our mission in serving those with epilepsy in Northern California!

The Paul E. Smith Scholarship was established on behalf of the Paul E. Smith family. Paul’s family lost him to epilepsy at the age of 22 and continues his legacy by helping other students with epilepsy further their education.
