In partnership with Young Adults with Epilepsy, we are proud to present the 3rd Annual Monterey Walk for Epilepsy! Our organizations connect more than 180K people living with epilepsy to life-changing programs and resources.
Epilepsy affects more people than MS, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and Parkinson’s Disease COMBINED-–and claims more lives than breast cancer each year. Historical stigma and discrimination of people living with epilepsy have led to a lack of funding and awareness, even though 65 million people live with epilepsy worldwide.
Let’s change these numbers.
Monterey Walk for Epilepsy will create epilepsy visibility by gathering as a community in Monterey County. Together, let’s walk for epilepsy and take vital steps towards change. The walk will be a total of 2 miles long (to Lake El Estero).
Check in/registration will be at YMCA of the Monterey Peninsula
10:00am: Check in
11:00am: Walk Begins
12:00pm: Refreshments, community gathering, resource and support tables
